When I was 5 years old, my grandfather Jonathan (I called him Gramps), showed me the first camera he bought, in the 1960s 一 Kodak Colorsnap 35. It was a British wonder camera, so sophisticated and elegant… I was mesmerized by its design!
Gramps showed me that it had settings for brightness and cloud conditions, as well as focus adjustments and encouraged me to play with it a bit. An hour later, after I held the Kodak for the first time, I felt like I was “hooked” on photography.
Fast forward to college. I studied Photography at City College of San Francisco. As soon as I got my degree, I started traveling around the US, creating art, and selling the photos online. I also worked freelance and got hired by big-name clients.
My images have appeared in several international publications, including Vanity Fair, National Geographic, Guardian, and the New York Times.
